We had an interesting week. Saturday, I woke up and felt nauseous, but still went to work hoping it would pass. It didn’t, so I left work early. I came home and slept a few hours then woke up, took my temperature and it was 101. I didn’t go into work on Sunday and felt better by the afternoon. I was off work Monday and Tuesday. I had big plans for my days off but I wanted to rest so I could go back to work.
Tuesday was where it got interesting. Brian and I had been talking about how much money we have been spending on diesel. It is about a half an hour each way for me to get to work. We went to the grocery store and on the way back, we stopped at the Subaru/Vespa dealership to take a look. They had the retro mint green Vespa that caught my eye from driving past. Turns out if you get a 50cc model, you don’t need a special license. I ended up purchasing one! It was not expensive at all and I will more than likely have it paid off within the year, so why not! It will save us so much money on diesel, plus Brian can have the truck during the day.
I didn’t get the mint green one because it was a Pic Nic edition and it had options that I would never need. So I got this silver-blue sexiness! This is the first year they produced Vespas in this color.
When Brian and I first started talking about selling the house and full-time rv’ing, we threw the idea around of getting a class C motor-home and towing two Vespas on the back. Well if we ever change our minds back to that idea, we are half way there. I don’t have a helmet yet, I had to order one. I drove it from the dealership (which is right next door to the campground) to the camper and I felt ok without a helmet, but I don’t want to drive down the main roads without a helmet.
This week at work I got to do my free tour of Acadia National Park (part of my training so I know what I am trying to sell). It was breathtakingly beautiful. We only did the park loop, so there is so much more to see. I only got two pictures since I was really trying to learn about the park.
That was our week! Have a Happy and Safe Memorial Day!
