We finally got to visit the other side of Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula. As I mentioned in a previous blog, Brian got a job in a lobster pound and we are working opposite schedules. We did have our days off together a few weeks ago, but we thought having covid would be a great idea instead of going out and exploring!
Anyways, we went a few days ago and it is gorgeous! I think I may like this side more than the more popular side on Mount Desert Island. It was less busy, so we were able to slow down the truck to get pictures and we were able to stop to see the popular spots! We drove the seven mile park loop road. We did not go any of the hikes because we are not hikers.
Work is going great for both of us. The dogs are doing good. We have been working so we can take it easier this winter and maybe go to some Florida National Parks (fingers crossed) or state parks. I did book a cruise to go on with some family in January, so I am excited to get to see them and go to Grand Bahama Island.
Also, I sold the Vespa. I was never riding it and we were just towing it and adding more weight to our truck and I decided to sell it.
I started looking at jobs for winter out west so we can get an idea of what will be available for us in the winter of 2025. Who knows where we will be. I do want to go out west to visit my bestie and I really hope we can get out there soon.
So that is what we have been up to. We may get some days off together soon and we will do some more fun stuff.
