I went on a four night cruise with my mom, oldest nephew, oldest niece, and her boyfriend. They flew into Florida from Pittsburgh the day before the cruise left. Thank goodness we did this because their flight was majorly delayed.
I left our camper at 6:45am to make the three and a half hour drive to West Palm Beach Airport to pick them up.

The flight from Pittsburgh was delayed 45 minutes because they had to re-scan everyone… We aren’t sure why. They had a connecting flight in Baltimore, and the re-scan made them late for that. I got a text saying they were re-booked while they were in the air. I pulled over to check it out. They originally were supposed to arrive at 10:55am, their re-booked flight came in at 3:48pm. So I killed a few hours at the outlet mall. This is a prime example of why you fly out the day before your cruise leaves.
We left the airport and I put the wrong hotel in the gps… TWICE! Sorry Gabby! Gabby was very motion sick from the plane ride and I felt bad about that. We got to the hotel and we had a nice dinner in the hotel and a great breakfast the next morning.

In the afternoon, we made our way over to the cruise port and got on board the Margaritaville at Sea, Paradise! Day 1 pics and some sail away!
My room:
The buffet:
Our first meal at Cheeseburger in Paradise (it was YUMMY!):
Night 1 Dinner. I had the Caesar Salad, Antigua Shrimp Skewer (I forgot to get pics, but everything was AMAZING) Andrew got the Cherries Jubilee and I got the New York Cheesecake for dessert:
After dinner some of us chose to gamble in the casino and I did some exploring:
I had a great nights sleep then woke up and went to the breakfast buffet by myself since I had a 9:00am massage that I had purchased when I booked our cruise back in April of 2024. It was much needed, but it was not your traditional massage… usually you go in and they ask you what areas are bothering you and then they tell you either head down or up then you do your thing and get your massage, then they have you flip. Not this one, they never asked if I had any pain, they just said head down and I NEVER flipped!! It was still a great massage, but just strange. The spa had amazing views. Oh yeah, and I cut my hair off!
After my hair cut, my mom and I went to BINGO and then we all went to the main dining room for dinner. Then off to see our first show.
Day 3 my mom, Andrew, and I went on a tour of Downtown Nassau and Atlantis. Gabby and Sal were supposed to have a beach day, but it was canceled… We were one of five ships in Nassau this day.
We got back to the ship and had lunch in the buffet, napped, then dinner in the main dining room. After dinner, Andrew and I went to see the family friendly comedy show before we all went to the evening adult comedy show.
The next morning, we pulled into Freeport, Grand Bahama and we all went swimming with the pigs! Gabby and I also got stung by bee’s! We had some Bahama Mamas and Conch Fritters for lunch.
Then back to the ship for a nap then dinner at Fin’s! My mom and I went to see a piano singalong and had some more Bahama Mamas. It was the last night so our room stewards made us some towel animals!
The last night was very rough seas and all night the closet doors were slamming all over the ship. I barely got any sleep, but it was the last night so I got up early and went to the pool deck to watch the ship pull in and check my texts that I was not able to get for a few days.
I missed my Hunny and he missed me as he texted me every day while I was gone. It was nice to spend the week with my family, but it was even nicer to get home to my hunny and the dogs. I dropped everyone off at the airport and drove home to them. Then there was a fish fry when I got home and then I spent the evening with my Hunny and woke up the next morning sick as a dog 🙁 I was in bed for three days mostly sleeping. I had the flu and it sucked! It’s been a little over a week and I am just starting to feel like myself again. Tucker has not left my side since I got home and I don’t think he will ever let me leave him again.
It was a good cruise for as cheap as we got it. The food was AMAZING and I wish I could eat that good everyday.
Now it is back to normal life and I have to start planning our trip back up to Maine so I can work the summer.
