Hi All! Just keeping you all updated. We are at a small campground in Seville Florida called Pine Island RV and Marina. We love it here and I feel at home. This is where we were last winter as well. Brian works 2 days a week in exchange for a free site. He worked Friday and Saturday in the office/camp store.
Last winter, Brian had his website that was generating enough income for us to live off of, but sadly, that website was hacked and he no longer has it. I’m not going to lie, we have been struggling with no income, but we have been making it. Brian has found a job not to far from here that is a Monday through Friday job and he started on Monday, March 3rd. Since he is working another job now I took over his job in the office/camp store, but I cannot work a full shift that he was doing since I just had my surgery, so I am working three afternoon shifts 1pm-6pm. It is also better for the dogs, this way they aren’t cooped up in the camper alone for 8-9 hours a day. They just hired on some new workampers as this was happening, so it worked out great for all of us. Plus most of the fun stuff that I want to do happens on Saturdays, so now Brian and I both can go!
Me in my new “uniform”

We will be leaving here the end of April and making our way back up to Maine for my third (and most likely final) year in Bar Harbor. We already have our entire trip planned and it includes 12 straight days of boon-docking! Yes, 12 days of NO HOOKUPS! We are stopping halfway through to empty our tanks and fill up our fresh water tank. I have been gathering recipes that we both enjoy and I can pre-make so we can just heat it up or can quickly put it together on the stove top. Most of the states that we will be staying in will still be in warmer weather, so we need to keep the temperature in the camper low so we are not hot and miserable (meaning me, it’s me that gets hot and miserable in high humid areas).
In other news, I am down 20 total pounds since November 12, 2024. I am still doing great after my surgery and Brian is still by my side, for the blog stalker that thinks he is going to leave me, and by the way has never even met me in person. I’ll just leave it at that.
I will post more before we head up north for the summer season. There is an RV show not far from us this weekend. In April, there is a food truck event in Daytona and we have family coming to visit!
