Ingredients:
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 24 oz jar of marinara sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/5 tsp pepper
- 4 cups of sliced cabbage
- 1/5 cup uncooked rice
- 1 cup of water
Instructions:
- Cook onion, carrot and ground beef in a large and deep skillet for about 5 minutes (ground beef should almost be fully cooked)
- Stir in garlic, sauce, smoked paprika, and pepper
- Bring to a gentle boil
- Add in cabbage and rice
- Cook for about 35-40 minutes, until rice it cooked. You will need to add in water a little at a time to keep the liquid line up to cook the rice.
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Serve and enjoy!
We loved that this had a little bit of a crunch. It was very delicious. Brian thinks it will be good with ground sausage too.
